“Cirilo Bautista was a great journey in the maze of mind and time; a combination of memories, emotion, imagination and dream.

I explored visualizing the words into images, abstractions and symbolisms. Like Cirilo’s magic, I’d like to stimulate the emotion and curiosity of the viewers, to raise questions, to ask reality and self. The main challenge for me
was how to reduce and reproduce these multidimensional experiences visually, which led me to a series of different visual approaches.

“The pandemic is darker than night. Mas humaba ang gabi.(The night is longer.) I read the texts every night for me to absorb it even while sleeping.

This is my first time reading Cirilo’s work. It’s a great ride! I realized
that the imagination has no horizon.”
